Ho Chi Minh City Day 2

Day 2:
Wake up at 5am local time (6am Malaysia time).. Breakfast at 6am.. Nice Vietnamese breakfast.. Eat a lots because got pork and beef.. haha..

After breakfast, we move to Cu Chi Tunnel where it is a must go in Ho Chi Minh but still many of their citizen never been there because of the entrance fee (80000 dong = RM12 = USD4) which is quite high for local people which their average monthly income is USD100+ for lower level and USD300+ for medical doctor while USD6000+ for bank manager.. The range of income is too wide for low income and high income group..

Cu Chi was an important base during the American War, because of its strategic location. The Vietcong built a 200km long network of tunnels connecting command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapon factories. Dug out of hand late rite by hand tools without the use of cement, this amazing network was never discovered by the Americans.

After lunch i had a funny and embarrassed day with David.. huhu..
First, we had a visit to War Museum..

Then, we went to the Centre Post Office, City Hall and Notre Dame Cathedral at the town center by our own..
Because the tour guide don't want to drop us down since most of us wanted to go shopping..
So, we played explorace from the dropping point to the Notre Dame Cathedral, we went in to the church which with French architecture as it was built on 1880..

After visiting, we went to eat baked banana at roadside by an old aunty and buy a coconut drink from another aunty from opposite stall.. Then me and david been cheated by the aunty for 100000dong for 2 coconut which should be about 10000dong normally.. haizzz..

At night, we went to Ben Thanh night market to 'sapu' souvenirs for friends and relatives.. The first time having contact with those Vietnamese sellers make me feel like they are very 'friendly' and 'desperate' to sell you their stuffs.. They will put your hand or bag when you are leaving and keep give discount to you only to let you buy what they sell.. Different situation in Malaysia.. haha..

Example of conversation:

Me: How much this?

Vg: 10 dollar..

Me: 6 dollar..

Vg: No.. 8 dollar..

Me: Don't want la.. (walk away)

Vg:  U.. 7 dollar ok? (yelling)

Me: ..... (keep walk away)

Vg: Sir.. Sir.. (chasing me).. Maximum how much you can give? (Pulling my hand)

Me: 6 dollar.. (keep walking forward)

Vg: 7 dollar sir.. very cheap..

Me: ..... (keep walking forward)

Vg: Ok..

Me: ... (keep walking)

Vg: Sir.. You.. 6 dollar.. (Yelling)

Me: ok ok..

p/s: i a bit evil huh.. haa.. 

After shopping.. we went for drink coffee although i very seldom drink coffee in Malaysia..

But the coffee is Vietnam is different taste than those in Malaysia..

One lifestyle i noted from here is Vietnamese like to sit on small chair beside roadside to enjoy their food or drinks.. So most of the coffee shop is at junction or roundabout which can see the traffic while enjoying their food or drink..

After coffee, went back hotel for my 3 star bed.. haa.. End of 2nd day in Saigon..

Ho Chi Minh City Day 1

Day 1:
Once arrival in Ho Chi Minh Airport.. When passed by the custom of Republic of Vietnam, some of my trip mates said that I'm look like Vietnamese.. Gosh.. I'm so 'international face' ah? A Chinese looks like Malay, Korean & Vietnamese.. Haha.. But the officer in the custom looks not that friendly..

After picked up the luggages, we being interviewed by pretty tv reporter when exchanging our currency..
1 USD = 2100000 Dong
RM1 = 6500 Dong

The condition in Saigon airport is quite differently with what we have in KLIA or LCCT.. The crowd is so 'silent'..

After lunch, we have a visit on Nutrition Center of Ho Chi Minh City..
I had an amazing experience on their effort on educating nutrition to their population..
The mainly problem here are Vit A Deficiency and Iodine Deficiency..
They even having a special nutrition center for educating nutrition to their population,
and they used medical doctor for nutrition counselling because they didn't have speciality on nutrition and dietetics in Vietnam.. So, those staffs in nutrition center are mainly from medical doctor and those graduated from public health.. The way of their nutrition education is very different than us in which they will teach the patients how to cook.. In their nutrition center, they have at least 6 room for nutrition counselling and kitchen in each room..

We also having seminar with the staffs in the nutrition center.. We presented some cultural of Malaysia and they presented us some of the dance and song of Vietnam.. The presenters are all the staffs in nutrition center.. Some of them are so PRETTY..

Besides, I'm also 'terkejut' with their transport system.. 8 millions of population in Ho Chi Minh, 4 millions of motorbikes but a lots pretty girls on the bikes.. hehe.. Traffic lights just for decoration, although it is red, motorbike still moving and motorbikes are 'dai sai' than big cars.. Phew~ You only can experienced it when you are here.. Where Malaysian Mat Rempit can died if we put them here.. haha..

The 1st day of Ho Chi Minh City just ended like this for me since feeling unwell.. Slept after dinner till next day morning while all my gang having night outing at their so called famous "Ben Thanh Market" which they complaint only need 1 hour to finish it.. haha..

心累

人之所以會心累，就是常常徘徊在堅持和放棄之間，舉棋不定。


生活中總會有一些值得我們記憶的東西，也有一些必須要放棄的東西，放棄與堅持，是每個人面對人生問題的一種態度，勇於放棄是一種大氣，敢於堅持何嘗不是一種勇氣，孰是孰非，誰能說的清道的明呢？如果我們能懂得取捨，能做到堅持該堅持的，放棄該放棄的，那該有多好。


別讓自己心累！ 應該學著想開，看淡，學著不強求，學著深藏。
別讓自己心累！ 適時放鬆自己，尋找宣洩，給疲憊的心靈解解壓。 


人之所以會煩惱，就是記性太好
人之所以會痛苦，就是追求的太多
人之所以不快樂，就是計較的太多
人之所以不知足，就是有著太多的虛榮心
人之所以不幸福，就是沒有知足心
人之所以活的累，就是想的太多
幸福是自己的感覺，需要自己細細去體會

今天不好过哦。。
‘头痛’睡了整个下午。。
什么也没做。。
晚上睡醒以后想煮maggi吃。。
可是连maggi也不放过我。。
整包调味料倒在地上。。
除了要特别清理还被迫吃‘超健康’的maggi。。
还好我情绪零碎，吞得下那‘超健康’的maggi。。
漫漫长夜，而陪我的是那2份明天到期的NCP。。
Zzzzzzzzzzzz........
